Why is it a big deal? The main competition was between India & China, Chinese cheque book gave it just 19 out of 53 votes, while India's diplomacy alone received a resounding 46 out of 53 votes.
Last week, I mentioned IMF bailouts were issued to both Sri Lanka & Bangladesh which was backed by India & China. While Chinese alone backed Pakistan hasn't received any bailouts even after months of pressure.
Just like the Indian opposition China gets lots of (Paid) positive media propaganda, while ground reality is completely opposite. Thankfully Chinese are yet to blame EVM for electoral losses.
